Special H&I Announcement
Good Afternoon! The member who was considering stepping into the H&I Chairperson position has decided not to be nominated for it. As of January, the H&I Chair position will be vacant, and without a chair, all H&I meetings will not be able to proceed. In order to avoid this disruption, someone will have to bring a homegroup nomination to area this coming month (December 7th). That gives you 11 days to discuss it with your homegroup!
Requirements for the position: 2 years and prior involvement in H&I and an H&I workshop, To have a working knowledge of the WANA H&I Guidelines and NAWS H&I Handbook. ALSO, Election to all Trusted Servant positions requires an NA Homegroup, an NA Sponsor, working knowledge of the Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and Twelve Concepts of Narcotics Anonymous and the willingness to serve (Amended 4.2.17). Previous involvement at ASC, ex: GSR or being involved in a subcommittee before being nominated for a Trusted Servant position is suggested (amended 5.2.10).
We will still hold the H&I workshop on December 28th and the subcommittee meeting, but please note that nominations and elections will not take place unless there is a chair replacement.
Please spread the word and talk to your homegroups over the next 11 days encouraging someone to step up for the position. Thank you.
